Hyundai 25-Year Nationwide Hunt Campaign - Terms & Conditions
1. Campaign Period
The campaign will run from 26 January 2026 to 17 March 2026 ("Promotional Period"). No entries will be accepted outside of these dates. Dates are subject to change at the organiser's discretion.
2. Eligibility
- The competition is open to South African residents aged 18 years and older.
- Participants must have a valid South African ID or passport and a valid mobile number and email address.
- Employees, directors, agents, and contractors of Hyundai South Africa, participating dealerships, and all associated agencies, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
3. Campaign Description & Participation Mechanics
- The campaign consists of 3 main hero locations across South Africa, each supported by surrounding Hyundai dealerships as secondary hunting zones.
- A new pin location will go live every two weeks on Google Maps across the following cities in sequence: Gauteng → Durban → Cape Town (and other selected regions).
- Participants must physically locate the hero or dealership locations, scan the official campaign QR code, and enter via the official campaign microsite.
- Upon entry, participants must create a profile, allowing Hyundai to track entries and points via the database.
- A leaderboard will display participant scores throughout the campaign.
- Each participating dealership will feature a Spin & Win mechanic, where one (1) spot prize per dealership per day can be awarded.
- Participants will only gain access to the Spin & Win wheel after scanning the dealership QR code and logging in to their campaign profile.
- Participants may only scan QR codes within their registered city, ensuring fair point allocation and preventing cross-region accumulation.
- Points are earned through verified QR scans only and are non-transferable.
- Hero Location Dates:
- Sandton City: 26 January - 9 February
- Oceans Mall: 12 February - 26 February
- Hyundai Hub, Access Park (Kenilworth):3 March - 17 March
- One (1) Winner Selection: 25 March
4. Determining Winners
- At the end of the campaign period, the participants with the highest points accumulated nationally will be entered into a random draw to win the grand prize: a brand-new Hyundai Exter.
- All weekly, regional, and grand prize winners will be verified before confirmation.
- Hyundai reserves the right to disqualify any participant found attempting to manipulate or abuse the system, including QR code tampering, multiple fake accounts, or location spoofing.
- Hyundai reserves the right to disqualify any participants that does not meet the eligibility requirements, at Hyundai's discretion.
- Where the participant has been disqualified, Hyundai reserves the right to choose an alternative winner, at it's sole discretion, which shall include the discretion not to choose an alternative winner.
- The winner will be chosen by the 18th of March 2026 and contacted no later than the 20th of March 2026.
5. Prize Structure
Tier 1 - Spot Prizes:
- Instant vouchers to the value of R200
- Issued at participating dealerships via the Spin & Win mechanic
- Limited to 1 voucher per dealership per day
Tier 2 - Weekly Prizes:
- Weekly lucky draw for all qualified participants
- Prize value: R500 per week in cash
Tier 3 - Regional Prizes:
- One (1) regional winner per region
- Prize value: R10,000 in cash
Grand Prize:
- One (1) brand-new Hyundai Exter, awarded at the end of the campaign via random draw among top point earners
- Vehicle colour is based on availability and car specification will be the Exter 1.2 Premium MT (Manual Transmission).
- Insurance, license, and registration costs to be confirmed by Hyundai
6. Prize Conditions
- Prizes are not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
- Hyundai reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary and at its sole discretion.
- Winners will be notified via telephone and/or email within 7 working days of the relevant draw.
- If a winner cannot be contacted after three (3) attempted contact efforts over seven (7) days, Hyundai reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
7. Data & POPIA Compliance
- By participating, all entrants consent to the collection and processing of personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
- Personal data will be used solely for:
- Campaign participation
- Winner verification
- Prize fulfilment
- Marketing communication (where opt-in consent is given)
- Data will not be sold or shared with third parties.
8. Marketing & Publicity Consent
By accepting any prize, winners agree to allow Hyundai South Africa and its partners to use their name, likeness, and images for promotional and media purposes without additional compensation and/or claim of royalties and the like and participants and/or winners waive all claims for same now and in future.
9. Technical Disclaimer
- Hyundai will not be held responsible for system downtime, QR malfunctions, network failures, GPS inaccuracies, or any technical issues that may affect entry or participation.
- Participants are responsible for their own data costs incurred during participation.
10. General
- Hyundai South Africa reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the campaign at any time for legal, technical, or operational reasons.
- Participation constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
- The promoter is Hyundai Automotive South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in the campaign, the participant/winner indemnifies, releases and agrees to hold harmless the organisers, their associated, holding and subsidiary companies, and it's directors, officers, agents, representatives, shareholders, employees, successors, and assigns from and all claims of loss, liability, injury or death, damage or the like arising from participating in the campaign, any campaign-related activity, prize redemption and/or acceptance, receipt, possession or use/misuse of any prize.
- To the extent permitted by the law, the organisers will not be liable in any way whatsoever, for any claims arising from loss, injury, damage, harm, death or costs, suffered by a participant in relation to participation of this campaign or the prize offered, including but not limited to claims relating to defects in the prize or any losses caused by such defects or losses arising from inaccurate information supplied by participants.
